Filipino Young Leaders Program (FYLPRO) was launched in 2012 as part of the advocacy of the Philippine Ambassador to the United States to reach out to the youth. It is an annual week-long immersion program in the Philippines for select 2nd/3rd generation Filipino-Americans to reconnect with their Filipino heritage and learn more about the country. The initiative aims to tap outstanding young Filipino Americans who possess a sincere desire to be engaged in their respective communities and promote the Philippines’ further development, advance interests of Filipino Americans, and help forge closer Philippine-United States relations.
