#BrigadangAyala reaches over 10,000 Filipinos affected by recent storms and heavy rains

In the aftermath of Tropical Storms Crising, Dante and Emong and the intensified southwest monsoon (habagat), the Ayala Group of Companies, led by Ayala Foundation, mobilized disaster relief efforts across affected communities in Visayas and Metro Manila.

From July 23 to 31, #BrigadangAyala, the Ayala Group’s Corporate Citizenship and Volunteerism platform, assisted over 2,200 families, or more than 10,000 individuals, through the distribution of food packs, hygiene supplies, emergency go bags, and essential medicines.

The foundation, together with volunteers from local chapters of WeAreAyala Business Club, distributed 600 food packs to families in Mabolo, Cebu, and Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.

Relief efforts were also deployed in Kabankalan, Negros Occidental.

In Metro Manila relief efforts reached a total of 900 families in Brgy. Bagong Silangan (Quezon City), Brgy. Tanong (Malabon), Brgy. Bangkulasi (Navotas), Brgy. Parola (Manila) and Brgy. Tumana (Marikina). Volunteers distributed  900 food packs, 600 emergency go bags, and 2,500 doxycycline tablets to help prevent leptospirosis and other waterborne diseases. The disaster response operations were made more efficient through the deployment of four BYD disaster response vehicles, donated by BYD Philippines and ACMobility, enabling volunteers to access areas with flooded roads and limited mobility.

Ayala Foundation also extended relief assistance to its Community Development project sites. In Mindoro, 457 food packs and 385 bags of rice were distributed to communities in Sipit Saburan, Lapantay, Malago, Talipanan, and Mangagahan. In Zambales, 300 food bags were delivered to families in San Rafael and Aglao, San Marcelino.

“Patuloy ang pagtulong ng #BrigadangAyala,” said Ayala Foundation President Tony Lambino. “We thank our partners, local government units, and volunteers who stepped up during this critical time. Our work continues as we remain committed to helping communities recover, rebuild, and become more resilient.”

To support future disaster response efforts, donations may be made via Ayala Foundation’s official channels.
