CENTEX Digital Education

Ayala Foundation rolled out the pilot implementation of its CENTEX Digital Education in San Marcelino, Zambales in partnership with Khan Academy and with funding from ACEN, Education Development Center (EDC USA), and Huawei. The program gave students access to adaptive learning platforms that differentiate instruction, allowing them to learn at their own pace and level to attain grade level proficiency. The pilot reached 1,558 students in Grades 4-6 and 27 public school teachers by providing 9 schools with a digital learning laboratory. Schools are also equipped with Starlink-powered internet connectivity to ensure uninterrupted access. This supports the use of adaptive learning platforms that personalize instruction, allowing students to learn at their own pace and level. Meanwhile, the program continues in CENTEX Manila and Batangas with internet connectivity from Globe.

In addition to providing learning resources, the pilot offers teacher training, coaching with classroom observations, and the use of learning analytics to support instruction. The Foundation will evaluate the program by the end of School Year 2024–2025, with results informing potential scale-up to other school districts.
